Habescha is a term used by Ethiopians and Eritreans to describe themselves. It is a concept of pride and is used to distance differentiation between different tribes, as well as to celebrate the unification of people themselves region. For example, one asks: “Are you Habesha?” Instead of “Are you Ethiopian or Eritrean?”.
